Additional tips regarding installation instructions:
- Always submit dry samples / samples from the entire delivery before installation
- Check the correct name of the tile, always go through maintenance sheet and technical sheet with the client. Processing in accordance with the installation instructions.
- Is the type of natural stone to be used suitable for the room?
- After delivery of the tiles, immediately place them inside or protect them against rain / frost.
- Checking the substrate for level and flatness.
- Control of the quality / applicability of mortar, glue, grout to the type of natural stone.
- Measure the moisture content of the subfloor. Preferably in writing by means of report.
- Checking the tiles before installation, NOTE: installation is acceptance.
- Sort tiles before installation.
- Do not spray tiles with water after installation.
- Leave joints open for at least 2 weeks.
- Avoid covering the floor after installation (possibly colorless cardboard, always vapor permeable). Never use stucco foil or juice carton. (it is used to prevent moisture from passing through).
- Joint width Marble, Granite, Basalt, Travertine is 3mm. For Quartzite / Slate 5-8mm.
- For good adhesion with certain types of Slate, it is advisable to brush the underside of the tiles with a mixture of cement / water adhesive emulsion. (burning).
- White Marble can sometimes discolour spontaneously after processing, professional processing is very important.
